AllTheFallen is shutting down. No actual details quite yet. Honestly, can't say I'm surprised. I wouldn't want to run ATF, fuck that. Would have been more based to just say "fuck pedos" and ban everyone with a MAP flag in their avatar but I digress.
@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club (My own individual opinion here) Free speech maximalist forums are going extinct because a small percentage of bad actors, both within the platform and outside of it, prevent it from working long-term. Further, it's incompatible with normalfag mentality and normalfags now rule the Internet. Edgy-but-legal content will be lost and will become de-facto illegal. Fun times.
Anyway, that's what I am assuming that it's shutting down for. Could just be getting old and tired of running a Website.
@bruh_momento yeah, people don't have any actual respect for places like this. if you want an actual healthy community, you really need to lay down the law and be firm in what doesn't fly. otherwise, cretins will come out of the woodwork and bleed you dry. they'll co-opt your shit. you think there are similar ideals going around, but then these evil motherfuckers just bend you over and fuck you up the ass for your hospitality. then when you bring it up they'll just hurl insults and push you out. it happens all the time.
in atf's case it isn't a small percentage of bad actors. nothing short of going full nuclear and banning pedophile shit would actually save it, and there are so many users who are there for that it might end up becoming a ghost town.
