Do you know of a good video editor tool that can do some more minimal stuff like converting formats and clipping? Preferably cross platform. Kdenlive and shotcut are both overkill and have clunky interfaces. Every editor ive touched just seems to be AIDS

I mean, I use ffmpeg to convert files, but to edit files I just use shotcut. It is overkill but I've never found a better editor on linux. The other ones (like da vinci resolve or blender) are even more bloated than it, so it's just what I've settled for.

@yomiel @RustyCrab it sucks ass. however, it's the only video editor i've found that doesn't force you to render clips again if you chop them from a larger video. you can just drag the clip back into the library and it will reference the original file but with timestamps for that clip.
