I take it back I find Valve fanboys more annoying than Bethesda fanboys at this point. I'm kinda annoyed at the mindless dick riding of Gabe Newell when Counter Strike 2 doesn't even have a functioning anti-cheat and they've neglected the game for the last 2 years for everything but stupid cosmetics and updates to make cosmetics look better. Then I see retards going apeshit over an overpriced gamepad because it has TMR. I could put TMR sticks in my existing gamepad for a 5th of the price.

I do like the idea of SteamOS and gaming on Linux but gaming wise Valve hasn't really done anything mind blowing since The Orange Box in 2007 and that was 19 years ago. Portal 2 was alright but I never cared for Dota and I could care less about Deadlock as that will probably suffer the same fate as TF2 and CS2 and just be botted to hell and back with a dogshit anti-cheat.

@ooignignoktoo i'm not a huge valve fan in terms of their actual games, but steam and their work on linux/ARM are so good with only a few minor hiccups every now and then.

@beardalaxy I will give credit there. But I'm just infurated that at their core they're supposed to be a "game" company and they're kind putting the support of their games on the backburner without any real transparency to the playerbase.

@ooignignoktoo as far as the controller goes, i'm not really interested, but i'd say it's still pretty competitively priced. it's a bit more niche than a normal controller so i would expect it to be a bit more than a standard one, but it isn't THAT much more. a switch 2 pro controller is $90, dualsense controller is $70-$80. xbox controllers are like $60 but are the farthest from having the feature set of the other controllers.

i could get TMR sticks for my controller for $20 if i really wanted them, but i'd also have to solder them and that same controller was $60 when i bought it back in 2014. over a decade ago. personally, those ds4 controllers i have still work REALLY well with stock everything.

@beardalaxy True but soldering can be fun and it's a good skill to have.
