@LittleTom it's a retelling of 64, which was a retelling of the original, but it also has stuff from assault in it for whatever reason. The new one is a remake of 64 so it is a remake of a retelling but it has way more shit in it than the previous "remake" on the 3ds which isn't REALLY a remake more like an enhanced port.
Now let me tell you about kingdom hearts lore.
Yeah the original, 64 and Zero all tell the same basic story and hit a lot of the same beats but are ultimately all 3 of them completely distinct games. Zero also takes the chicken walker from SF2.
