"the woke right" is so confusing, woke right is when you still oppose identity politics and ethnic set-asides, but also even when they're for jews and therefore republicans like them all of a sudden. weird inversion.
@beardalaxy it seems like its entire formulation is, woke people are critical of israel. some right wingers are critical of israel. therefore, those right wingers are woke. even when the criticism is, israel gets special privileges for being a particular minority group, which ironically is as woke as it gets
@sun see, for me it goes beyond that. "woke" people aren't just those who have criticisms it's people who are actually fucking retarded and just blindly hate (or support) something and spread propaganda even though they will very easily criticize the other side for doing the same thing. it's not just anti-israel sentiment either, it's crazy shit on the other side of the coin like pro-hamas, or more culture war kind of stuff like "woke video games" where it feels more and more these days that it's just "if there's a woman in the game it's woke."
@beardalaxy @sun Number 1 its a buzzword made up James Lindsay. The actual Jargon in birb site MAGA for them is retard right. Number 2 Trump has done a lot to push Israel into its actual place of a US protectorate and diminish their influence in the US itself. The retard right also doesn't espouse the typical criticism of the right about Israel (i.e. its a malign influence on our politics that is rent seeking) but that of the left. Before I forget, the most typical example of them was some guy called cirnosad until he left the Internet after Iran has disappointed him again.
