Had a weird conversation today

I saw a girl with her boyfriend who had Kirby earrings. Told her I liked them and she said she got them at a convention. Then I was like "man I'm waiting for a new game!"

They both look at me with dead stares and her boyfriend goes "what game?"

"Uhh, a new Kirby game."

Her: "Is one coming out?"

"No I'm just hoping there is a new one soon."

Him: "Well didn't the Nintendo Live (?) already happen?"

"There was one a few months ago but you know, we can keep our fingers crossed for the next one."

Then they both fell silent and just walked away. What the fuck? Did I talk to some AI model from 2018?

@beardalaxy most people aren't sentient beings and are bewildered at any conversation that isn't part of their preprogrammed normie topics. Also pretty sure they both lacked an inner monologue.

@geistigbehindert i witnessed a coworker recycle an entire dialogue tree today within the span of an hour, stuff like that weirds me out dude.

You literally handed them a breakfast question and it clearly showed they are both cattle that have nothing at the wheel
@Morghur @beardalaxy "how would you feel if you were looking forward to a new Kirby game?" 😂

@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club I have conversations like this sometimes, except I am on the other side. Some people have called me autistic because of that (I am not). Usually happens when caught off-guard, like when I was only halfway listening while multitasking, or when things are phrased oddly.

Thought process: if you actually said "I am waiting for a new game", most people would say instead "...a new
Kirby game" -> there must be a reason why you left that out = perhaps he's waiting for a new, non-Kirby game to release? At this point, I am confused and mentally off-balance, and stumble my way through until the next topic. :autism_hat:
