My mom and I have been going to see horror movies in theaters since I was kid. The first one she ever snuck me into was The People Under the Stairs. It's one of my first memories, I hadn't even started school at that point.

She wants to go see Resident Evil. I'm apprehensive about it being a good adaption but I have no doubts that it will be a solid movie. Creggar hasn't disappointed in that regard, yet.

@Rage_Grenade It’s been an overall mixed bag from what I’ve been hearing. Some absolutely loved it while others felt completely ripped off.

@Rage_Grenade @Jfthedingdong i guess you've already seen it by now, but i kind of liked it. not a big fan of directors doing the whole "this is my version of x thing" but it was fine i guess.

what i really didn't like was how contrived the ending felt. i accidentally said "that ending fucking sucked" in the theater right when the credits hit and got a few laughs lol.

it's also weird too... everyone in the movie has the horror trope of being extremely retarded and always making the worst possible choices, but it is played off as humor instead. so it is kind of excusable, but that still didn't really make it "good" imo. like, the lead especially was funny but he was also kind of a dumb bitch.

@beardalaxy @Jfthedingdong I agree with all those points other than the ending. It didn't bother me.

I feel like, structurally, it was the perfect Resident Evil adaption. As the movie played out it nailed the flow of the games.

@Rage_Grenade Basically the most copacetic of positive opinions for that movie.

@Jfthedingdong Honestly, that's the best description overall. It could have been a lot better, and with a few tweaks it would have been basically perfect, but what we get isn't even close to being bad.

@beardalaxy @Jfthedingdong Same! I've been playing that series since the very first one released and I'm actually anxious about how they're going to present it.
