yesterday my father woke me up with 3 hours of sleep to tell me the news, then immediately made me walk two miles and back to pick up her body's belongings from police station.

4 hours of sleep. then today i had to go to her home.

i get its a hoarder home but the bastard didnt even give me a minute, got his hands down on papers and started shoving everything into trash bags with little care to see what it was.

now i'm told i may have to finish cleaning by the end of the month because no one wants to pay another month of her rent before handing the home back.

this isnt normal right? i havent had time to process anything.

as i know a lot of you are Christian i'd like your guys opinion on something,

we're debating burial vs cremation,

her friend said she wanted to be buried,

while her older sister who raised her since she was 10 said it didnt matter if it had to be cremation God will do with our bodies as and when he sees fit.

burial seems to be much more expensive and high maintenance and my brother has no desire to pay it.

"if she really wanted that she'd have told us and saved for it. i'm sure she'd rather we were happy and well"

i might have just enough but its my entire bank account

personally for me its hard for me to imagine cremation,
not really a thing in our family, and i dont really know what to do

i know ultimately its a decision i have to make but

any advice is appreciated

@smugumin i'm so sorry to hear about your loss man. that really sucks. i don't know how much it would help but i'm sure a lot of people around here would help chip in if you need us to. even if it's just a bit of money for you in the interim.
