@beardalaxy The true reason behind this is to:
1. Force users to upgrade their machines for no reason, so that manufracturers and OEM vendors can make money, and
2. Enabling OEM vendors to enable SecureBoot in their prebuilt machines in a similar fashion to how laptop manufacturers do it (locked by default so that not only it's not possible to make hardware or even software changes on it, but also you're required to send it to their official support if you require service).
