They feel powerless on their own and want for a hero who has the power of nuclear Winter at their fingertips to beat back the darkness. But, alas, evil is thorough and has operated and infiltrated in the shadows and the cover of darkness now for millennia. Evil is now ubiquitous. A full reset, second coming, call it what you want, is the only way back now.
