There's a reason I'm not monarchist, asides Hitler and the NSDAP, the greatest men of our age, were mostly commoners and on the poorer end of such before ascending.

EDIT: If anyone didn't know, Goebbels looked like that due to being very malnourished as a child, Hitler was homeless and had to pay for his mother's funeral and burial with a painting (hence the Mary and Jesus art).

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried The UK is not a real monarchy because King Charles has no more power than any other celebrity. He has to say what they want or they cut him off. Which is not to say he's secretly based at all. It takes a certain type of man to tolerate humiliation by constitution and it's not a good type.
There were good noblemen and bad, and if we still had the good ones we wouldn't be in the state we are today. The Prussians saw themselves as the "first state servant" or something like that and did improve conditions for their people.
But it's like the constitution and other instruments of power. If it doesn't work it's worth nothing and is replaced. I wouldn't mind a fair king, I wouldn't mind an actual democracy, I wouldn't mind a cool dictator and I wouldn't mind cool Ancapistan.

@WandererUber @Witch_Hunter_Siegfried blessed Franz Joseph I comes to mind when talking about a good monarchy. The emperor lamented over the death of his soldiers and make sure to visit the front as much as possible, even going so far as to pray for them every day to his death.
