With the obvious problem aside for a moment, why would you ever want to watch a live action version of an anime? It loses so much in terms of animation, expressiveness, comedy, impactful moments, fun, ECT. Is it a normie thing? "Watch popular stuff without feeling like a social outcast" type of marketing? I'm not a big anime watcher, but if a Netflix live action show was my intro to any given anime series, I probably would find anime trash.

@TrueMasterCole Yes, it's a normie thing in the West.

With very few exceptions like the live action movies made in Japan, like the live action Death Note movies.

The Inuyashiki movie is pretty good too, since it's 90 minutes instead of 12 episodes.
Doesn't drag out as much, but there's still a bit missing, like you said.
