@VaxxSabbath @coded_artist The CO2 cost of trashing and replacing the same household items is at least a magnitude greater than any sliver of energy saved, I have no study for this but I know it's true.
It's funny, I just had to replace a fridge because the starter went. A $45 part. A whole fridge in the garbage for $45.
