What a dogshit argument, you don't need characters being fat and ugly for them to be visually distinct. Take the female characters in Smash Bros. Ultimate for example: every single one is unique and memorable, even when sharing the same hair color. You're not gonna confuse Peach for Zelda or Samus, or confuse Mythra with Min Min or Sheik, never mind the likes of Pyra, Bayonetta or Byleth.
And yet somehow, all this variety was accomplished without making a single one of these ladies fat and ugly, isn't that crazy? It's almost like making characters fat and ugly has nothing to do with legitimate wishes for variety at all, and it's all kiked Cultural Marxist subversion and demoralization...

Main problem is that it was pushed as the bestest indie game of all time, when it had a budget and an industry push that no indie game in history could ever aspire to have.

The studio was founded by industry veterans, ex-Ubisoft guys, with skills and connections that no indie would have.
It's like calling Lionhead Studio indie.
