Pro Ukrainian journalist Julian Ropcke is not impressed

According to The Economist, the situation for Ukrainian forces in Pokrovsk and Mirnograd has become hopeless.

A failed GUR special operation to land troops north of the city achieved nothing.

In nearby Mirnograd, Ukrainian units are effectively surrounded.

Meanwhile, elite Russian drone units dominate the skies, freely hunting Ukrainian operators and destroying enemy UAV teams with precision.

Russian soldiers move dragon teeth barriers out of the way in Pokrovsk, Ukraine.

They don't seem to be worried about sniper fire, artillery or drone attacks. They appear to be dissembling the fortifications completely unopposed.
