Argentina update of the past 4 days:
Milei has disbanded the Federal Administration of Public Income (AFIP), that is our Soviet revenue service. It will be replaced with a simplified agency with a fraction of the employees, saving the state like ARS6.4 billion each year.
He fired 3,100 employees from AFIP, reducing 45% of top positions and 31% of the bottom ones; and slashed the salaries of the top dogs too, who were getting paid double to triple what senators make, and senators make so much money people hate them because they just raise their own salaries and there's nobody to stop them.
He also started the audits of public universities, despite their strike and protests to prevent it. And will start with the worst of all: the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a den of leftist indoctrination.
The government also announced an audit of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) which is the local version of FIFA and, I'm told, another giant black hole of taxpayer money.
In a recent speech he said he will not stop until he has put the last nail in the coffin of kirchnerism (the left wing party that ruled during 2003-2023). To which Cristina Kirchner, i.e. the Arch Enemy, said Milei means he wants to kill her.
