Australian national news last night was dominated by this story about some lunatic deliberately ramming his car into a female politician and causing her to lose a leg.
You could practically feel the entire political and media establishment holding its breath, waiting for the signal to unleash a torrent of "far right" scaremongering, anti-masculinity rhetoric and the rest of the usual garbage.
Today, it looks increasingly like this guy was a nutso leftoid Greens voter who had a chip on his shoulder, likely something related to local politics or environmentalism. The woman he nearly killed is about as centrist as they come in terms of voting record, so who knows what kind of nutbag shit was in his head. Maybe it was personal.
Either way, you just KNOW the journos are fucking seething that they dont get a free pass to demand some common sense white male control and force the public to listen to their performative castigation of incels for another week.
