1. OK yeah it's 100%/2yr, but if you look at 'month over month' inflation the numbers are much smaller. And, wow, day-over-day inflation, that's the real chart to look at! These numbers are SO small, wow, I feel silly worrying about anything.
2. OK, yeah, this food is 100% more expensive since two years ago, but have you considered just not counting food when you think of inflation? Discount that, and housing, and energy, then it's actually not getting as bad as fast now.
I have been joking about current year money being worth half of 2019 money since the unnecessary and ineffectual lockdowns prompted the US Government to create as much new money as had existed in 2019.
