I made egg custard pie and it tastes like fucking eggs, what the fuck? Who invented this shit?

The texture is a bit firmer than pudding, my custard didn't curdle, so I know I didn't overcook it or anything. It came out as described, but no one fucking said it tastes like sweet scrambled eggs with some vanilla. It doesn't have a scrambled egg texture, but I almost think that would be better because then it would feel like it fucking tastes.
