im not gonna lie, steamvr kinda sucks on linux

@featherFag Yeah, that's what I've heard. I'd expect it to be better with nvidia, as radv is still an on-going thing there.

@shebang I have nvidia and I've played both VRChat and BeatSaber, which both work perfectly in proton. However I keep having these nagging issues like as soon as I start SteamVR the audio on my VIVE Pro stops working. And none of the buttons in the dashboard do anything, like if I press library it just opens bigpicture on my desktop.

@featherFag Huh, that's pretty broken yeah. I've been holding off on VR because I've rarely heard people get a great experience yet.

@shebang My expectations were pretty low and honestly I'm just happy that the games run so well in VR.

@featherFag Yeah, I'm a bit sore that HL:A is VR only. That's an expensive game when you include the hardware...

@shebang theres a mod out there to play the game without VR but it's probably not a great experience.

@shebang watching footage of the game I can kinda get why they did it for VR. I'm sure the price of used vr kits will go down eventually. That's how I got mine, screw paying full price lmao.

@featherFag Well, I mean VR is cool. But yeah, the price vs the actual number of games is hard to justify for whats a thousand bucks in CDN pesos.
