I wonder how would i go about making a Longinus spear on Blender...

@hideki got a pretty good start using the screw modifier and proportional editing

@harblinger have yet to use the screw modifier in any project, i still don't know if it would be a one piece project or it must be done separately the handle from the fork

@hideki I'm not too familiar with it either, just discovered it's best to use just a circle mesh instead of a cylinder, should have a rough render soon (blender froze on my first attempt :0070: )

@harblinger if you have problems too frequently maybe try using the LTS version instead, it's a bit outdated now given that it doesn't have geomentry nodes which are the new sensation right now, but honestly i don't see how they are fundamental to do anything.

@hideki I think I was just using the screw mod wrong combined with boolean diff

got it to work a bit better on 2nd attempt:

@harblinger that's awesome! then it's not as difficult as i thought it would be... frankly i would need to see someone doing it first for me to acquire the technique

@hideki might actually be fun for me to do it a 3rd time and record it, it'll allow me to procrastinate other things heeeeeeeh

@harblinger @harblinger That was a very simple way of explaining it, thanks! i was kinda thinking that you had to use the mirror modifier so both teeths of the fork can come identical since they have some weird shape
