@hideki it was originally an app for college students to post thoughts (no images) to their college locally, and then other students reply (everyone is anonymous). To bring in ad revenue they made accounts which tanked the app and they sold their assets to Twitter, who years later started them back up in their original glory (they literally reverted to a git tag from before the accounts were implemented and are going from there)

It’s fun, like a mix between 4chan and Twitter but just in your neighborhood
