@gingermilk when you have a shop, like me, there's just not a good way to tell a customer to shut up, YOU have to shut up and feign interest in all the mundane babble they're making
@hideki@gingermilk that's when you start facing shelves, unpacking inventory, while laughing at their stories etc., if they get pissed that you're not giving them full attention I'd say something like "I wish I had the luxury to just chat all day, but work needs to be done, feel free to keep going"
that usually gives them a bit of self awareness, unless they're psychopaths then they'll rage (and leave hopefully)
