@visne @hideki I believe I said fascist-lite, no? I would have chosen a different word but it seemed to fit at the time. If #fediblock were only used for the worse cases and so on I might see that, but truth is I’ve observed it used way more for “We don’t agree with their world view, so we must purge the heretic” than “They’re trying to dox us and threatening violence” or the like.

Of course, people are free to run their instances anyway they like and that’s fine. It just seems unfortunate to put so much effort, time, and resources into the destroying the very federation upon which the fediverse was built, you know?

@wolfie @hideki I mean, you have to understand that anyone can just make a post with the fediblock hashtag, and that it doesn't really cost much effort. And there isn't really anything unfortunate about it, I have no interest in federating with transphobes and racists. If you do, then have fun.

@visne @hideki True and to each their own. I’d prefer to let things flow and block individuals or apply filters if it becomes necessary. It rarely has, but that’s me. Have fun :)
