Shortly after starting the year i commited to a social network hiatus due to a lot of shittly things that were happening around the place, and during that hiatus i worked on this scene that has post-soviet vibes, or at least that's what i wanted to do.
This is actually a revised version of the one that i posted originally on my main account. I posted it on several sites (including 4chan) and got several pieces of advice on how to improve it.

Problems we are having with #Signal:
* It is and will remain centralized (clear strategy of *not* federating servers)
* It requires strong identifiers/selectors (phone#) to use
* Author disallows distribution by anyone but Google, although free/libre
* It keeps pushing away verification of fingerprint in interface
* It relies on Google+Amazon infrastructure
* Its funding is shady (OTF = Radio Free Asia = USG)
= clearly unethical choices, unjustifiable by accessibility or technological reasons.
