the magic of fediverse? you don't GET to cry about right to free speech being violated since there's always another instance out there (or you go set it up yourself) where it won't be – and yet you're still on the same platfor. it confers basically complete immunity to deplatforming. admins of instances can be COMPLETE jerks but it also gives everyman the power to ignore their tyranny and just simply move to greener pastures. and ironically, this means the ability to just pack up and leave provides an INCENTIVE for admins NOT act like that.
