I find it funny that Sony, to appeal to "global values" (their words), restrict Japanese devs' freedoms so much that it was a Western studio making a Japanese game (Ghost of Tsushima) that won so many awards & press coverage in 2020!! It goes to show that Jap culture is beloved & sells (what a surprise! /s ), but Soyny is now led more by globalism in California offices.

They don't care about fun, story, or even the history of the company & fans that made it a household name. They care more about pushing """their message""", chasing longtime JP devs away while elevating SJWs ( Social Judgement Walking-simulators).
