@waifu Averages are useless. Median is more representative of reality and the 37% difference between the groups tells us the median is lower among the audience.

@matrix Tomatometer isn't the median. It's the percentage of ratings over 49%

@waifu I should have used "suggests" rather then "tells us", because 0% of the critics rated it under 49% while 37% of the audience did.

and people on the internet tend to be a lot more polarized
AND they only vote on a stars scale which isn't really that granular
@matrix Also, there's a lot of other mediocre movies that have or had a 100% on tomatometer
it's no secret that the tomatometer isn't the best measure for rating
it just tells you how many critics liked it, it doesn't tell you how much they did
