Acclaim for short games by journos is just a front for making their jobs easier. They only get their review copies a couple days before the game comes out and they need to finish and publish an article before their competition.

It's the equivalent of the math teacher giving you partial credit on a problem you couldn't do because you wrote a joke or drew a picture of godzilla on the prompt

They also always play on the easiest difficulty and try to churn out as many reviews as they can. They probably inject political bs into their articles because they can't cope with how much time they've wasted on their pointless education and insecure jobs. All they need is clicks anyway
