Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna be a full-time developer (not quality engineer) for four months and I think I'm utterly fucked. The position entails working on a component written in Python and eventually I'll have to learn some React and parts of the JStack for one of our web frontends. All the candidates for a junior dev sucked and since the terms of my internship were expiring, devs approached me with their offer and here we are. I don't know how I bamboozled them to think I'm competent in any way - likely I managed to tug the right strings during my screening. Future boss has assured me it's not gonna be hard, but damn am I scared. Apart from my ineptitude, I'm terrible at waking up on time and a constant 8-hour churn is something I don't think I'm able to pull off... time will tell. At least it's gonna pay well.
