This is only done to appeal to Hollywood, much like censorship of conversations to levels that would pass as "3+" in "Mature-rated" games.
No sane person would get offended over hearing "nigger" in a game that the ESRB rated "Mature" except for rich white women (then again, rich people aren't known for having the most sanity or intelligence)
