Someone competent should start making federated groups, before Gab has a go at it.
@matrix it's a good thing that gab isn't so keen on federation. At least if they f*ck something up the fedi won't feel pressured to support their f*cked up implementation.

Depends on how they are implemented, but they are usually for a more focused conversation or a place for sharing stuff.
@matrix Oh so it isn't yet implemented here and there, but i think Gab is doing it anyway. At least from what i heard.
