You're sort of basing your entire rant on the idea that a person's entire existence is their profile on the fediverse. the real world is commonly called the real world, for, well, being outside. You can argue for or against isolation all you want, but even if you block people on your fediverse profile, you still have the rest of the internet, and the real world outside unfiltered.
This really comes back to one of the original points - that some people get enough bullshit out there in the "real world" they choose to filter the bullshit for the brief moments when they talk about fire emblem on their fediverse profile.
I would also like to add that this is straying really far from the original discussion, "is federating blocks a good thing?"
