Hey so
Socialism is just communism but slower right?

@cantinto no

@kurisu
How's that?

@cantinto what do you even mean by socialism

its a very broad term

@kurisu
The democratic pursuit of an ideal state that takes care of all the needs of the people
So communism, but slower because instead of revolution the idea is to slowly change the establishment from inside-out

@cantinto that doesn't seem to be my impression of socialism

communism == control by the state, needs revolution to rearchitect the state for this goal

socialism to me tends to be interpreted as market socialism where it's just a broad leaning in society towards workers owning the companies they work for, and towards flatter management structures. Always comes with a givernment which takes care of the disadvantaged.
