@igeljaeger @matrix if you want freedom, stop using computer. If you don't want surveillance - go up north, into the woods or into space. Just using linux does not inherently give you more privacy and security than win 10. You still have Intel ME or AMD PSP ring -3 running in your computer that would undermine everything that sits on top of it.

A lot of people use linux for different reasons. Like being able to "rice" your system, or being able to actually fucking learn how it works, or having more or at least some control over your system, or simply because it more fun.

If you want privacy and freedom and less surveillance - you probably wouldn't engage in this conversation, not use fedi and use TAILs on some very old laptop.
