@PorkCow @matrix No, I'm not complaining from this particular article; but Snopes does a very specific kind of interpretation of what constitutes a fact when it's convenient for them and their requirements for evidence may vary in such circumstances. The 2016 election exposed a lot of how they operate. But for silly news like this one, I think they are reliable enough.

Just pay extra attention when using them to verify the veracity of anything remotely related to politics.

@rasterman @matrix No fake news journo would dream of correctly reporting if it was a gay, black, or muslim doing something horrible, though, right? So if we can't find out what burglars WERE buggered, it's feels a bit hollow to learn anything from Snopes at all.
