Fascism economically has always portrayed itself as a "third way" between Capitalism and Communism, and the conflation between Capitalism and Fascism literally only exists in Marxist propaganda.

It's not noble to give all your money to the first con artist you see because "muh altruism." There's a lot of people who'll take advantage of generosity in this world and you being a sucker doesn't help any worthwhile cause. Absolute altruism means being a doormat for the rest of the world, who won't return your kindness. There's definitely some people who need to be told not to be so selfish, but there's also people who need to be told that you don't need to be a doormat and it's okay to pursue your own happiness.

Too bad she didn't die before she managed to convince people like Alan Greenspan that social safety net programs should be reduced, causing suffering to untold thousands; we can thank social security and Medicare for keeping her alive long enough to ensure that later generations got fewer benefits than she enjoyed in her lifetime.
@Grandtheftautism @matrix @druid I think the fact that she rationalized cheating on her husband who gave up everything for her is massively worse than taking money out of programs she had paid into for years. She was a long way from an ideal role model that Objectivist cultists hold her up as. I don't particularly care about her personal failings so much as the pros and cons of her ideas, and I consider there to be plenty in both categories.
