@matrix Please tell me this was a real commercial for something...
@matrix @shebang looks like swedish commercial for finnish tourist agency. He speaks swedish there, too.
@hj @matrix Isn't Swedish fairly commonly spoken in Finland? I know Linus speaks Swedish natively, even though he is Finnish.
@shebang @matrix depends on where in finland. It's second official language, but it's always "secondary" except for Åland islands :alandislands: which is sorta country on its own, they are entirely swedish-speaking with finnish being a minority.

I think it's taught in school alongside finnish, but people prefer finnish in general. Go to west and you may hear more swedish, go to east and you may hear more... russian...
@shebang @hj @matrix short answer yes, long answer no. ankdammen is the strongest along the coast but in other parts of the country I wouldn't count on anyone knowing a word of it, except some very specific towns. I myself happen to live in a place where it's the "default", if I go to a grocery store the cashier's gonna try swedish first.
@hj @matrix @shebang it's a skit from a swedish comedy show that's parodying a commercial for a finnish hardware store.

@sampo @hj @matrix Damnit, that should have been a real commercial in a cool country.

None of which exist on Earth, unfortunately.
