It blows my mind that Nintendo 64 emulation was already possible in 98. As a kid, the idea of playing console games in a computer never crossed my mind. Had I knew that was possible, and had I got UltraHLE for my 98 machine, I would have gone nuts over it.

My first contact with emulators was with MAME, because a "friend" gave me a CD with it. He in fact lend me two CDs, one with MAME and another one with another game he wanted me to try if it worked. I ignored the other game and spent the day playing MAME, then just told him that it didn't work. Of course I made a copy of the CD.
