I absolutely hate people like this and I think I'm in the minority. I don't want your fucking DnD wheelchairs, wheelchair dolls, crippled characters and all the other bullshit. It's a fucking fantasy. I want to imagine being fucking normal and have some fun.

@matrix Anyone who unironically uses the term Ableism to whine about petty shit that doesn't matter is a colossal faggot.

@matrix Who the fuck plays themselves in DnD? If I get to choose to be anything I want, Imma be a qt dark-skin half-elf girl with a big fuck-off bow, not some pasty, overweight fuck who doesn’t go outside.

@matrix Just make sure someone has a magic spell that can add a ramp to dungeons.
@matrix "representation" is gay. I want to be "represented" by a hulking badass who decapitates dragons every day.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad @matrix You can do cool characters with physical handicaps in fiction. Darth Vader is cool. But wheelchairs are lame and mundane as a means of compensating for physical handicaps.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad @matrix Seriously, in fiction someone who can't walk should be hovering through either magical or technological means.
@matrix i want my character to be mentally retarded and the entire rest of the team has to take care of me and i’m always doing things which burden everyone else or get us all into bad situations because i don’t know how to listen or behave or be quiet
@matrix
>noo you need to play your fantasy game the way I play mine!!
Who fucking cares lmao go outside

@kaikatsu
I don't care how they play their game.
I hate how they are framing it how virtuous they are. They don't include a disabled character to explore a dynamic or tell a new story. They are doing it to be "inclusive".

@matrix @kaikatsu As I confirmed disabled, I think it’s safe to say I can speak for all disabled people when I say we actually fucking hate inclusivity.

@ZW748VSJSiwWMBLBct @matrix @kaikatsu I fucking hate that shit too. Next year Captain America will be a tranny and Batman will be a they/them lesbian.

The problem is its blatant tokenism and I really hope it goes away sooner than later.

I mean, i can understand some of them (most are just virtue signaling, bleh) are trying to be nice and show support but really, when it’s this kind of token nonsense it really just serves to highlight that we are different. The best support is when we are treated no differently and it never comes up outside of something specific.

At least in my opinion, and well, I live in this world, not the one I want anyway.

@kaikatsu @matrix in a fantasy world of magic, a person with disabled legs wouldn't sit in a wheelchair they'd levitate or reanimate/possess their legs with another soul/demon. get creative, instead of copying what you see in real life.
@kaikatsu @matrix I was going to bring up mechanical tech like that too but that's too close to steampunk which is cringe
@matrix i bet those people ended up being even more depressed because they didn't get any break from their current state through roleplaying
