Here's a hypothesis:
Building border wall and making border crossing between US and Mexico harder supports organized crime due to simple economics. It increases the entry fee into the drug market as more expensive elaborate plans are needed to smuggle things across the border (like digging a gigantic tunnel), which only large criminal organizations can afford which means they potentially become a monopoly and can charge higher prices, increasing their profits.

@matrix We wouldn't be having this issue in the first place if the drugs were legal.
@matrix Probably one of the best ones. The war on drugs has been a massive failure that accomplished nothing of value.
