@SystemSock @matrix The kind of shilling he did for Candid was absolutely shameless and undignified. It could possibly be on par with "simping" in that case.
@okabe_rintarou @SystemSock @matrix I think both Shoe and ArmoredSkeptic were literal paid Shills for that anti-free speech app Candid. They're both trash, but Shoe is apparently the one who ended up getting dumped.
@ChristiJunior @SystemSock @matrix Yes, that's where I remember them from mainly. It's still highly disappointing to me to this very day that BPS also participated in the ad campaign for that platform - as much as I like(d?) him, this instantly seemed extremely shady.

At best he was being very gullible, and neglected to do the most basic research into the product he was pushing.

His newer videos are oftentimes rather boring though, I have to say. I'm still waiting for his "white flight" phenomenon video he mentioned many years ago that he wanted to do. I wonder if he just forgot about it, wouldn't blame him, or if it's possibly too hot of a subject in the end.
