@rasterman @matrix Reminds me of the anti-Aslan Dwarfs in the last Narnia book. They supposedly rejected all major factions and only took their own side, but all their actions ended up harming the good guys far more than the villains. And they literally were depicted as the Skeptics of that world!

@rasterman @matrix CS Lewis seemed pretty rightwing, besides being a conservative Christian - one of the earlier Narnia books mocked progressive parenting, and definitely seemed to advocate corporal punishment as the proper way of dealing with rude brats.

The label "skeptic" was always dumb. No wonder it was given by feminists.

@matrix @rasterman idk, arguably the "alt light" and aspects of NRx came from the skeptic / atheist movement. being a skeptic isn't left or right, it's just about having more depth of thought about things. call it autism or intellectualism but it's not usually bad to be a critical thinker.

@matrix @rasterman im of the opinion that the institution of idpol & its university enablers are basically replacing christianity and its church enablers. if you look at SJWism like a cult, a lot of its structure / tactics make a lot of sense

@matrix Was it? I didn't know that. By the time I began to pay attention to those circles, the term was already established. It had centrist intellectuals such as Sargon, Chris Ray Gun, Andy Warski, Some Black Guy, Bunty King, Shoe0nHead and other such luminaries...
