@colonelj @matrix and they are the only gta games worht playing
@colonelj @matrix 4 is shit because the whole game is in downtown fagtown city. only cityfags like that game. the whole time ur stuck in traffic fuck that game

@shit
Literally all GTA games except San Andreas and V are entirely in cities and GTA IV barely has any traffic. It often feels rather empty.
@colonelj

@colonelj
You don't need a new engine for a new game and GTA V's engine is "just" a newer version of GTA IV's engine.

@colonelj
5 years after GTA IV and only 3 years after Ballad Of Gay Tony. Instead of making good single player content, they are milking GTA Online.

@matrix @colonelj (not to say that V will provide a good experience on the 360 and the PS3 though)

@Ted
Yeah. It was quite amazing what Rockstar managed to achieve on such old consoles.
@colonelj

@matrix i meant gta5 in my last post, i did play 4, but gtav came out on the ps3 1 day before it was released on ps4 which is the console it was designed for

@colonelj
I think you messed up some dates. It came in 2013 on PS3 and XBOX 360 and in 2014 on PS4 and XBONE and in 2015 on PC.

@colonelj
Within that time frame you also had Max Payne 3 and LA Noire. All on the "same" engine.

@Meeper @colonelj @matrix

don't ask questions, just get excited for next remake

@orekix @colonelj @matrix *port which is still full price and has ‘improved textures’

@orekix @matrix @colonelj Essentially, yep, rather it give company an avenue to split off game package into various pieces and raise the overall cost of the game package well beyond $60 (Some of them are so absurd that it's exceeding well beyond $10,000 which I attached screenshot for below.) That why I see triple A games fallen out of favor except for few exceptions like Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3.
@centi @orekix @colonelj @matrix next thing that comes to mind are subscription based MMORPGs

@chuculate
Except those are falling out of favor and getting replaced with microtransaction ridden trash.
@orekix @centi @colonelj

@matrix @chuculate @orekix @centi @colonelj Why charge a subscription for an MMO when you can charge a subscription for Fallout 76?
@chuculate @colonelj @matrix @orekix Especially with Eve Online... yike....

Imagine you spending literally $10,000 on in-game assets and one day, your in-game assets which was supposed to be safe was blown up and stolen from you even though it's none of your fault. It's entirely and solely developer's fault. (Yes, that happened.)

Basically the game developers, CCP, gave players who are either active or inactive 1 month notice that their in-game assets are going to be vulnerable even though they explicitly stated that it's safe especially for those who have to leave for military service or any other reasons.

Thanks god I left that game, that game is among the worst of any game I've seen.
