Cyberpunk 2077 has no AI for the drivers. They just follow rails and if an obstruction appears, they just stop. Even older GTA games had better AI.

@matrix everything with the vehicles other then their designs has been a complete let down thus far

@rok0 Yeah, even in cuts scenes the cars don't act like cars

@matrix Definitely looks like it needed another year to bake from what I’ve seen.

@realDonaldTrump @matrix I'm not at all far in but the streets seemed empty for the shithole it's supposed to be... i expected SF during a convention traffic

@JackMeinoff @realDonaldTrump @matrix there are a lot of people in the streets when i play it :comfythink: are you out in the sticks or the middle of town?

@icedquinn @matrix @realDonaldTrump Sorry meaning drivers on the road. It's sparse compared to what I imagined.

@matrix That is a legitimately disappointing revelation. That could be something that really showcases the non-AAA aspect of the company that made it. Can this be a AA game? Is that even a thing?

Adding AI on a patch is not unheard of (I could refer you to the ongoing shitshow that is Age of Empires III Definitive Edition), but on this kind of game it might be harder to implement, just from all the freedom the players have.

@rasterman Witcher 1 is an AA game. This could never be considered a AA game because of the size.
They mostlikely restarted development several times and traffic is a lower priority feature. AI is harder in games like that, but others have done it better.
Hopefully they will improve it.
