@PussySlayer Well next time don’t fall for that console nonsense.

Consoles are cheap to buy, but then screw you on the games — and future compatibility.

PC gaming is an expensive buy in, but the games are usually cheaper, and they’ll run forever. The very first game I ever bought on steam still runs just fine.. that was .. uh decades ago.

Those 6900XT’s or nVidia’s card are a lot of money though lol.

@shebang @PussySlayer I got a 2080Ti over a year ago and don't plan on upgrading it for a good while. It's still plays everything on Ultra settings at 4k/60fps (and I don't have a gaming monitor so I'm locked to 60Hz). Most people don't really need 30xx cards. They're just buying them because they're board, still have jobs and have nothing else to spend money on.

@djsumdog @PussySlayer RTX is kind of a justification…

I mean, if it really looked any better. I couldn’t really tell the difference in 2077 honestly. Just that it took a fps hit.

@shebang @djsumdog @PussySlayer@freespeechextremist.com Look at the glass and puddles. Screen space reflections don't do the environment justice. DLSS is a must if you have RTX on though.

@matrix @shebang @PussySlayer It looked nice in Deliver us the Moon, but there aren't a lot of titles with support for it yet.

On top of that, did you hear the letter nVidia sent out to that one reviewer about RTX?

@djsumdog @matrix @PussySlayer Well, on desktops I only go AMD. Mainly the Linux experience is 11000000% better. I don’t care about gimmicks.

@djsumdog @PussySlayer@freespeechextremist.com @shebang Yeah, I heard it. Scummy behavior from Nvidia.
