Picture metadata is retarded. Particularly location data since so many pictures these days are taken on phones that try to autotag that shit.

Few people need any of it, but I’ve seen many get fucked up by it.

Read me OP. I mentioned that removing metadata is nice. I only complained about the date.

I read it. But I think a complete scrubbing of any and all picture data, including dates, actually increases usability these days.

Date is a simple and easily understandable data point by which to organize photos so removing it increases hassle

It only exists in signals db until exported. At that time, apply the date you received the photo.
