@matrix They can blame cold weather if they want but the real cause of the problems was the OPEC oil crisis that made heating things suddenly expensive imho

Maybe in the west, but for example Czechoslovakia ran primarily on coal and because of the cold, lot of the mining equipment, transport bells froze along with large chunk of already mined coal.
