I just hit a 7 year old bug in Kivy. I don't want to restructure my code to work around it. 
@matrix huh, I totally forgot about kivy. now I'm wondering how pyqt5 will translate to mobile devices that aren't KDE-based

I don't want to because restructuring it will make it more messy and the bug on happens on startup, so it's relevant only on one line of code
