It's not a distraction. Calling it one is like trying to jump out of the window to get to the ground floor and calling me saying "But you can take the stairs" a distraction.
There are 4 issues here:
1. Redefining a commonly used and understood word for no tangible improvement in utility is at best ignorant, at worst evil. I lean towards the second.
2. Under the stupid P+P=R definition a black person can be racist because black people can hold positions of power. A black boss has institutional power over his employees. In Africa, blacks hold the institutional power.
3. How many issues are actually the consequences of this power imbalance? Differences between group averages aren't proof of anything.
4. There are no solutions presented and the solutions implied are flipping the power balance or an ethnostate.
